Frequently asked questions

What makes Oxenforge woks special?

  • We use thick steel that allows our woks to retain more heat than the common wok.
  • Oxenforge woks are forged from a single piece of steel, which means the handle is not attached with rivets or welds. Most cookware usually deteriorate where the handle is attached because rivets get loose and welds can snap if not done right.
  • Oxenforge woks are blued before they are sent to you. This step helps create a protective barrier against rust.

Do I need a wok ring to use a round bottom wok with my gas stove?

It depends on the model of your gas stove. If you aren't sure, send a picture of your stove on max power to brad@oxenforge.com

Can these rust?

Yes. Our woks are made of carbon steel, and carbon steel cookware will rust if they are not taken care of properly.

However, if you take care of them, they will last you a lifetime.
